Dora Hiers

“What do I want to do with my life?” Dora found herself asking after her youngest son reached high school age. Years before she had left a high-profile auditing career to be a stay-at-home mom to her two children and to support her husband in his career.

The answer? Dora felt God’s gentle nudge to write what she loves to read – inspirational romantic suspense. Books that make your palms sweat as you turn the pages, but leave you with a long “ahh” when you finally put them down.

Dora belongs to the American Christian Fiction Writers and the Carolina Christian Writers. Recently, she entered her current project, CRIMSON JUSTICE, in the Genesis contest with hopes of gaining valuable feedback for the submission process.

Dora and her husband, Ernie, left Florida behind for a new life in North Carolina, when Ernie became the new Fire Chief for Kannapolis last year. Besides her love of reading, Dora enjoys sharing the love of Jesus with elementary age children at her church, vacationing in the mountains, watching hockey and football games with her husband, walking her dog, shopping, and spending time with her family.
