Lynette Hall Hampton
| Inspired by one of the associate ministers at her church, Lynette wrote her first Christian mystery while taking care of her terminally ill mother in Davidson, NC.
Her mystery novel, JILTED BY DEATH (The first in the Reverend Willa Hinshaw series) was published in 2004. The sequel, ECHOES OF MERCY came out in 2007. She is working on the third, MISS PEABODY’S COMUPPANCE. One of her children’s books,
FUN WITH THE BIBLE, has been reprinted and a romantic suspense novel, DUO OF OPPOSITES was published in 2006. As a tribute to her mother, Lynette edited a collection of her mother’s writings (some of which appeared in the Mecklenburg Gazette)
and published in a book called THEN. |
| She is a member of: Sisters in Crime; Murder we Write, The Triad chapter of Sisters in Crime (which she founded in 2001 and serves as president); Kernersville Writers Roundtable, SCWW and The Carolina Conspiracy, a group of NC and SC Mystery writers.
She has recently joined AFCW national and the local chapter. Lynette has one daughter and two of the most precious grandchildren on earth. (Her son-in-law is okay too.) Lynette was born in Millers Creek, NC, a small community in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She now lives in Kernersville, NC with her cat, Jefferson. |
